We get it...understanding the school system is easier said than done!

Having worked in the public school system as a special educator, I've sat in hundreds of IEPs where I've realized how essential parent participation is in the development of an IEP. With that being said, I've also noticed how many parents  didn't ask the right questions, and/or didn't fully understand their rights as the parent. Many parents feel they have no voice in the education of their child, and solely need to agree with what is presented to them.

Other parents who aren't in the IEP process struggle with a different area. They know their child is falling further and further behind each grade that passes by. They understand  their child is struggling academically, but don't know how to help or where to start.

Here at Arise Educational Therapy Group we: assist parents in advocating for their child by prioritizing what's important, we guide parents in understanding the special education process, and train parents to become the advocate their child needs. Finally, we teach you how to become a team player with your child's SST team, and IEP team, to fully support your child in their educational milestones. Our goal is for your child to receive the services they need to have success in the classroom.
